Biography
Dennis Malloy is completing his fourth term in the NH House of Representatives serving Greenland and Newington and is prepared to serve the new Greenland-Rye district beginning in 2023.
He was appointed to the Ways and Means Committee in 2017 and served as clerk of Ways and Means in the 2019-2020 term. Dennis was originally elected to the NH House from Barrington in 2012 and appointed to the Municipal and County Government Committee. He also served two terms as Barrington Selectman before moving to Greenland to be closer to his wife’s business Malloy Interiors located in Portsmouth. The Ways and Means Committee studies all of NH’s sources of revenue and advises the House on all tax and fee revenue that will be available to the Finance Committee.
Dennis and his wife moved to NH in 2001 from Iowa where they both graduated from college and began their professional careers. Dennis holds degrees from Coe College in Cedar Rapids and Iowa State University in Ames.
From 2001 to 2011 Dennis served as the Chief Development Officer for NH Public Television and is an arbitrator with the Financial Industries Regulatory Authority (FINRA) that provides oversight and regulatory leadership to the securities industry.
In Iowa, Dennis served as Director of Development and Community Relations for Iowa Public Television and as station manager for an FM radio station in Des Moines.
