The NH House has voted on its priorities. Citizens most in need, property tax payers and education funding suffers. Here’s a brief rundown of what this new budget means for you and your fellow citizens.
June 2021 NH Legislature Update
Attack on public education funding will raise property taxes
Tax Relief for NH Small Businesses
Local Control Is Under Attack
Setting Federal Standards for PFAS PFOA
Continuing his leadership on this issue, Congressman Pappas is a co-sponsor of legislation which will establish national drinking water standards for select PFAS chemicals, hold polluters accountable, and help local communities pay for water upgrades.
As we have seen on the Seacoast, at Pease, and in Merrimack, Bedford, Londonderry and Litchfield PFAS pollution has very real impacts right in our backyards. For years, local advocates in these communities have done incredible work raising awareness, educating neighbors, and getting results, and this bill will aid their efforts at the federal level.
