Removing “swallow wort” and managing trails in Greenland
Greenland Conversation Commission Chair Laura Byergo and Greenland State Representative Dennis Malloy on Saturday August 15, 2020 cleaning up invasive plants near the Thompson Brook Trail in Greenland.
Volunteering and community service outside of the legislature is important. On Saturday August 15, I joined Greenland Conservation Commission Chair Laura Byergo and several other Greenland residents to take on “swallow wort” that is creeping into the town meadow near the Thompson Brook Trail. After ridding the meadow of this invasive species I did a little trimming on the trail that the Conservation Commission has been developing and managing.
The trail head can be found on Liberty Lane road off of Highway 33.
